This Horse Riding Schools, Trail Riding Establishments and Horse Hiring
Establishments Industry Code of Practice 2002 was developed by a number of
organisations and individuals interested in improving safety in horse riding and trail
riding establishments. Thanks are due to the people who worked on this Industry
Code of Practice for their efforts to improve safety while still remaining commercially
viable. It is now up to the industry to improve safety for themselves, and for the large
numbers of the public who undertake horse riding activities.
